Marketing / Proposal Coordinator – IMMEDIATE!

Seeking qualified candidate to fulfil the role of Marketing / Proposal Coordinator with construction sector experience.  Responsibilities include the following:

  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external teams at all levels
  • Monitor online bidding/opportunity sites such as Biddingo, MERX, etc.
  • Liaison with Estimating, Sales, Management and Operations personnel to acquire significant data for the preparation of Expression of Interest (EOI), Request for Proposal (RFP), Pre-Qualifications (RFPQ), tender submissions
  • Maintain contract, tender, and prequalification/proposal internal server databases
  • Manage, develop and coordinate proposals from long lead to submission analyzing requirements, setup kick off meetings, coordinate responsibility of documentation/ additional materials
  • Preparation of prequalification submissions with limited assistance and maintain submission reporting
  • Responsible to upload and submit all required documentation for all prequal/proposal and tender submissions via online portals and/or direct email submissions
  • Collaboration with consultant teams for joint venture pursuits including the preparation of templates and dropbox access for consultant teams as required
  • Assist estimating team/department with preparation of weekly tender report, monitor and maintain addenda materials on server; review and preparation of tender documentation, assist with tender closings; request surety/bonding, insurance letters/certificates of insurance via online portals or applicable avenues
  • Support CEO, President/COO, Executive Vice President, and Vice President with scheduling and presentation of materials, as required
  • Develop and maintain corporate support materials including boilerplate content, resumes, project profiles and photos, testimonials/client/project references
  • Develop marketing strategies for the approval by Management
  • Preparation of all marketing electronic and print materials such as brochures, direct mailings, business cards, etc.
  • Establish, manage and update the corporate website, blog and social media accounts
  • Manage corporate events, such as anniversaries, safety meetings, social sponsorships, etc.

Field Engineer

The Dineen Group of Companies requires a Field Engineer trained in the use of transits, automatic levels, laser instruments, total stations and other equipment as directed by Dineen.

Safety is paramount on all Dineen projects.  As a CORTM Certified company, all employees must complete and maintain Dineen’s CORTM relevant training. 

A Dineen employee must be safety conscious, honest, conscientious, loyal and reliable.

While primarily required for surveying and layout duties, this employee must be prepared to complete other tasks requested of them by Dineen management and supervisors.

While not a specific requirement, a Field Engineer may also be a member of the carpenter or labourer unions.

Site Superintendent

A Dineen Site Superintendent is completely responsible for the project site to which he is assigned.

Safety is paramount on all Dineen projects.  As a CORTM Certified company, all employees must complete and maintain Dineen’s CORTM relevant training. 

The Superintendent needs to ensure conformance with Dineen’s Health and Safety Policy, OHSA, the project schedule, the plans, specification and addenda. The Superintendent reports to and works closely with the Project Manager. Quality Control and safety are paramount on our projects. It is not just Independent Testing & Inspection that reviews technical aspects of quality control.

The Superintendent must be able to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.

A working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Word and Excel are required. It is advantageous to know Blue Beam and Jonas but not a requirement.

Carpenter

The Dineen Group of Companies is signatory to Local 27 for ICI projects in the Toronto area. In Residential work, we are signatory to Local 1030. A Dineen carpenter must be in good standing with their respective union.

Safety is paramount on all Dineen projects.  As a CORTM Certified company, all employees must complete and maintain Dineen’s CORTM relevant training. 

A Dineen carpenter must be safety conscious. We have an admirable safety record and all Dineen employees contribute to our safety by being mindful of site conditions at all times. A Dineen carpenter must have current fall arrest training, WHIMS training and basic first aid training. Propane training, tickets for zoom booms and scissor lifts, are an asset.

A Dineen carpenter must be honest, conscientious, loyal and reliable. Basic tool handling is a requirement.

In general, our carpenters preform minor formwork, roof blocking, fencing, hardware installations, minor drywall work, accessories installations and clean-up their own work space.

Labourer

The Dineen Group of Companies is signatory to Local 506 for ICI projects in the Toronto area and Local 183 outside the Toronto area. In Residential work, we are signatory to Local 1030. A Dineen labourer must be in good standing with their respective union.

Safety is paramount on all Dineen projects.  As a CORTM Certified company, all employees must complete and maintain Dineen’s CORTM relevant training. 

A Dineen labourer must be safety conscious.  We have an admirable safety record and all Dineen employees contribute to our safety by being mindful of site conditions at all times. A Dineen labourer must have current fall arrest training, WHIMS training and basic first aid training. Propane training, tickets for zoom booms and scissor lifts, skid steers and mini-excavators are an asset.

A Dineen labourer must be honest, conscientious, loyal and reliable. Basic tool handling is a requirement.

In general, our labourers perform minor demolition, excavation, backfill, material control, traffic control and clean-up.
