The Pickering GO Pedestrian Bridge has officially made its mark in the Guinness World Records as the longest enclosed pedestrian bridge in the world!
Dineen Construction was proud to play a key role in this landmark project. Our scope of work included the renovation and construction of the pedestrian bridge, the installation of two new elevators connecting the bridge to the train platforms, completion of the Calzip bridge cladding, and the replacement and modification of the bridge lighting system to ensure full functionality. The elevator installations were completed in 2016, followed by the Calzip cladding and lighting upgrades in September 2018.
This milestone project stands as a testament to innovative design, engineering excellence, and collaboration. Dineen is very proud to have been involved with this milestone project of notable achievement.
