Dineen transformed a six-storey abandoned building, once part of Wellesley Hospital, into a vibrant and inclusive healthcare hub. While the attached two-storey Annex remained fully operational and continued serving patients, we completely redeveloped 80,000 sq. ft. across five floors into modern clinics, outpatient services, isolation facilities, counselling areas, and specialty services tailored to the community.
The project included major upgrades to the building façade, full replacement of mechanical and electrical systems, and new steel sunshades to replace the original cast-in-place concrete. Inside, the building was reimagined into a welcoming environment with colourful yet calming finishes, extensive millwork, and durable flooring. The space now houses boardrooms, kitchen facilities, counseling rooms, quarantine areas, clinical exam rooms, and executive office suites.
By delivering the project well under budget, the Owner was able to add significant additional scope—further enhancing the centre’s ability to serve the neighbourhood.
