Dineen Construction was engaged to take over this complex healthcare renovation project after numerous unresolved issues were left by the original construction manager and ongoing disputes with the design team. At the time of takeover, the project was approximately $20M complete. Dineen successfully rectified $3M in deficiencies and completed an additional $10M of construction work to bring the project to full completion.
The Toronto Rehabilitation Bickle Health Centre Renovation was a refurbishing project completed in several phases for Interior and Exterior work (5 interior and 2 exterior phases). The team worked within an occupied facility, completing the project in phases – the South Pod first, then the North. This required a lot of organization and coordination with the end users to relocate patients as Dineen completed the project floor by floor. The work schedule was tailored to the staffs’ requirements, working weekends or after hours when necessary.
