Dineen successfully completed the rehabilitation of the 10,000-square-foot exterior façade, cornice, and parapet of the historic Sandford Fleming Building at the University of Toronto. The project involved replacing deteriorated stone, repainting the façade, and performing essential masonry, wood repairs, and sheet metal work to restore the building’s original character. Throughout the project, Dineen maintained a strong focus on safety, utilizing spotters when moving machinery along the three surrounding roads to ensure the safety of both workers and pedestrians. The team also adapted to changing weather conditions, ensuring that the work stayed on track. The restoration preserved the building’s historic features while addressing key maintenance needs, ensuring its continued durability for years to come.
