Dineen completed a 9,900 ft² renovation within the L Block of the W.G. Davis Building at UTM, transforming Level 1 into a modern, functional space for students and staff. The project upgraded the Kitchen Suite, Spigel Hall Suite, and the Men’s and Women’s Washrooms, while introducing three new Student Halls, a new entrance vestibule, and a corridor separating the Kitchen from the Student Halls.
The Kitchen received a full reconfiguration with a Main Preparation and Cooking Room, a dedicated Catering Preparation area, and supporting spaces for storage, janitorial services, and offices. Beyond Level 1, building systems were upgraded, including a new air handling unit in the mechanical penthouse, expanded sprinklers, and partial replacement of underground sanitary services, with additional tie-ins across Levels 2–4.
Completed on schedule, the project highlights Dineen’s ability to collaborate closely with UTM and the design team, delivering functional, modern, and efficient spaces that enhance the campus experience.
